FPSO Diresmikan, Proyek Bukit Tua Segera Produksi April 2015
Satuan Kerja Khusus Pelaksana Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Minyak dan Gas Bumi (SKK Migas) meresmikan fasilitas produksi, penyimpanan, dan pengangkutan terapung (floating production storage and offloading/FPSO).
Peresmian tersebut sebagai bentuk pengembangan proyek minyak dan gas bumi (migas) Lapangan Bukit Tua, Blok Ketapang yang terletak di perairan utara Madura, Jawa Timur. Adapun hingga awal Oktober 2014 proyek ini telah selesai sebesar 65 persen.
Salah satu kemajuan pengembangan proyek ini adalah yang diresmikan FPSO ini di Galangan Kapal Keppel, Singapura, hari ini. FPSO memiliki panjang 233 meter, lebar 43 meter, dan tinggi 20 meter ini, diberi nama Ratu Nusantara yang mewakili kemitraan Indonesia dan Malaysia di Kepulauan Nusantara.
Acting Chairman of SKK MIGAS Officially Launches FPSO Ratu Nusantara
The development of Bukit Tua Field oil and gas project, Ketapang Block located in northern sea of Madura, East Java has reached 65 percent until early October 2014. One of this project’s advanced developments is floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) whose name was officially launched at the Keppel Shipyard, Singapore, Tuesday (21/10).
The FPSO with 233 meters in length, 43 meters in width and 20 meters in height was named Ratu Nusantara, which represents the partnership between Indonesia and Malaysia in Nusantara Islands. The inauguration was attended by Acting Chairman of Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas), J. Widjonarko, Top Leader of the State of Sabah YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman, and Country Chairman of Petronas Carigali Indonesia, Hazli Sham B Kassim.

Transamudra Usaha Sejahtera (TRUST), in a joint venture with exploration and production company M3Nergy, took out a $182-million loan in 2014 to fund the conversion of one of their tankers to a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. Now the Ratu Nusantara is under a five-year contract with Malaysian national oil company Petronas, operator of the Bukit Tua field in East Java, with the option of an extension for two more periods of one year.
TRUST is planning to take out more loans to convert another tanker into a FPSO unit. The company is currently bidding on long-term cotracts, including a tender for a floating production vessel on Canadian energy company Husky's madura BD block and shallow water gas projects in the Madura straight. Husky estimates the fields will be brought into production betwween 2017 and 2019.

Contractors for Bukit Tua offshore project
MMCOG (MMC Oil & Gas Engineering) provided the front-end engineering design (FEED) services for the project.
Keppel Shipyard performed the conversion of the FPSO on behalf of the conversion contractor, PT Transamudra Usaha Sejahtera – M3nergy Offshore consortium.
Technip MHB Hull Engineering (TMH) modified the marine and safety systems, and provided the engineering design services for the mooring and riser systems, offloading system, module supports, flare and helideck of the FPSO. The topside of the WHP was built by PT PAL Indonesia.
